01 · IN THE ROOM

The experience.

Inside the most-photographed twin skyscrapers in the world, on the second floor of the Petronas Towers, is a 920-seat European-style shoebox concert hall. Walls in light Burmese teak, ceiling rigged with acoustic diffusers, a hall that the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra calls home. The architectural setting is the headline (Tower One above your head, Tower Two visible through the lobby glass), but the hall itself is the most acoustically considered classical room in Southeast Asia. Strict dress code. The DFP at Lunch concerts on Fridays at 1pm are RM50 and consistently feature MPO principals.
