Zouk is the elder of Asian club culture. Founded 1991, moved from Jiak Kim Street to Clarke Quay in 2016, still anchors the Singapore clubbing economy. Two rooms on one door: Zouk Main for the headline programming, Phuture for the smaller and more interesting underground bookings. The system is properly Funktion-One, the door is gentler than Berghain but stricter than the average. Tuesday Mambo Jambo is the longest-running theme night in Asia. International DJs treat the Singapore stop as a fixture.
